A successful framing process begins with selecting the frame moulding. We offer comprehensive guidance and assist you in making the best choice from our sample corner assortment.

Our team specializes in crafting historically accurate handmade frames, so our range extends from modern shadow box frames to reconstructions of historical decorative frames.

In addition to visually enhancing artworks, passepartouts also serve a protective function: they create a distance from the glazing, thus providing protection against contact damage.

We exclusively use acid-free and aging-resistant passepartouts according to conservation standards.

Furthermore, we strive to connect your artwork to the passepartouts reversibly and gently—such as using acid-free Japanese paper.

Every artwork has different requirements, including framing and mat boards, as well as the choice of glazing. The nature of the artwork and its display location are decisive factors. Possible UV radiation exposure and other harmful environmental influences can help determine the type of glass.

Our selection ranges from simple float glass to museum glass, which offers the following advantages:

  • Minimal reflection and up to 99% UV ray resistance due to interference-optical anti-reflection coating for the protection of your artwork.

  • Impact and splinter protection.

  • High transparency.

Verglasung

When framing, the focus is on the long-term conservative protection of the artwork, such as protection against paint layer losses, UV-induced colour changes, or damage caused by direct contact.

Additionally, the back of an artwork can be secured according to museum standards using acid-free corrugated boards. This helps protect the artwork from transport damage and rear surface dirt. It also reduces the harmful effects of climatic fluctuations.

Our team is also available for consultations on suitable, individually tailored mounting options.
