We strive for the unification of science and craftsmanship.
Founded in 2005, the FRANCK team has established itself both regionally and internationally as a specialized workshop for diverse needs – from the conservation of historical objects to the crafting of newly gilded frames. Our motto is the unification of science and craftsmanship; therefore, under the leadership of master gilder Benjamin Franck, a competent, young, and dynamic team of specialists works to meet the interdisciplinary demands of the conservator and gilder professions.
The FRANCK team handles projects throughout Germany. Upon request, we are also happy to demonstrate our expertise internationally - no distance is too far for us.
Gilding is generally considered one of the most traditional and even oldest crafts in the world and is officially recognized nationwide as an intangible cultural heritage. Therefore, it is not only of interest to us to preserve this craft but also to pass on this knowledge by promoting young talents and interested individuals.
The company is a member of the Guild of Gilders, Frame Designers, and Framers of Hamburg.
